Over the past year a great amount of work has been happening at Cape Breton Highlands Links. Under the guidance and direction of Ian Andrew ( Canada’s foremost expert on Stanley Thompson), almost 85% of the holes have had their bunkers restored to the size, shape and location as originally set-out by Stanley Thompson in 1941.

A long with the bunker work, a major tree clearing program is proving to be very successful. The removal of strategic stands of trees has given the green sites a much needed burst of sunlight and fresh air. This has resulted in excellent turf growth. The added bonus of the tree removal program is the opening up of the original view-planes as planned by Stanley Thompson.

The Cape Breton Highlands Links work is being done in exacting detail in order to maintain the original design and integrity of this national treasure.
