The Lakes Golf Club
The newest addition to Cape Breton Island’s golf experience, The Lakes Golf Club is scheduled to open in the summer of 2009. This Graham Cooke designed course will be a world-class golf course, capitalizing on the beautiful landscapes and outstanding views of the Bras d’Or Lakes.
Coupled with Cape Breton’s existing courses, The Lakes will wrap up Cape Breton Island as an international golf destination. Located 10 minutes from Rita’s Tea Room and 20 minutes from Sydney, The Lakes is situated centrally within one of the world’s most attractive tourist destinations.
“Each golf hole at Ben Eoin will have an intriguing appearance and the course will have a balanced challenge so that all golfers will be able to have an unforgettable and entertaining experience,” according to Graham Cooke. “The Lakes Golf Course will be a wonderful place to call home and it will certainly capture the hearts of all the tourists and guests who come to visit.”
